Unfortunately, Trex’s chairs come in a more traditional color palette. Trex is one probably the biggest brand name in the poly resin material market and is one of our favorite outdoor furniture brands. They have been selling porch decking and flooring for decades. .
When locating the bolt holes, arrange them in a triangle as shown in the diagram below. Following the diagram carefully prevented me from placing a hole where a screw for the front crosspiece might be located.
I didn’t think I’d be a front porch “sitter” but I’ve come around. With Oscar, it’s nice to sit out there and talk with neighbours in the summer. Here they are in their unfinished.

Hey Becky, Did you clean the chairs really well before applying? This hasn’t happened to me, but I’m sorry you are having trouble. It may very much depend on how old the plastic is and if it is able to absorb the paint. Also did you happen to use a primer?
