We picked up two at the EP Costco on Tuesday and are now looking for two more. Spoke with Michelle at SLP and she said they are in order but they don’t know when they will come in. St. Cloud had 10 available in the system so she had them hold two for us and we are grieving up there for them.
Just bought four of these type of chair after doing a couple months of research into them (after seeing one for very cheap at Costco). Bought during the Memorial Day sale, buy 3 get one free, with free shipping. That sale seems to be over, but they still have a "special". They're not cheap, but are very comfortable, we like that the version we bought fold up nicely, and they have a relatively very long 20 yr residential warranty. We're expecting them to last for years. .
How many cans of pant per chair or how many chairs does one can of paint cover? Thank you BTW, do you remember where you got those particular plastic resin Adirondack chairs? I’m asking because the new batch of A-chairs out there have been redesigned and I do not like the so-called lumbar support bump that they have now. Also, I have looked all over for the former design of the matching footstools. The “old” footstools were flat, not sloped like the “new & improved” design. Another case of a redesign that doesn’t meet many customers wants and needs. Thanks!
"Teak comes with a high price tag because it’s in high demand for outdoor and indoor furniture. Its incredible durability makes it a worthwhile investment since you won’t need to replace it for years, and it can be left outside all year. "

The Adirondack chair (also called the Muskoka chair in Canada) was crafted of 11 flat wooden boards and had the classic straight-back seat and wide wooden armrests. This chair was originally designed by Thomas Lee while vacationing in Westport, New York — a small town in the Adirondack Mountains.
Looks SO great, Kelly! I know you are so pleased and secretly that was the one I wanted too, BUT I love what I have as well, It’s so sturdy and nice. Enjoy!!
It looks like there's not that much surface for glue to hold. How about adding a splint (or tape?) of some kind across the back?

Cedar: While not as tough as teak, cedar does make a more durable chair than pine. The wood has a natural oil that resists bug infestations and decay. Like pine, a cedar Adirondack chair will need to be refinished every year or two. Cedar naturally adjusts to the moisture found in wet climates, making it an excellent choice for chairs that will be left in the rain.
Sure! I found these in the Foster City Costco as well as the 2 South San Francisco ones & San Francisco. They have been in and out of stock consistently though because they are so popular. I just recently went this week & they were out of stock again. You may need to call each Costco to see when they will be getting shipments in. Unfortunately they don’t sell them on Costco.com right now
Next use a gauge block and a miter saw or table saw so you can repeat the same length cut exactly for the lower rear crosspiece, the front crosspiece and the seat slats. Use the pattern that provides the curved shape of the lower rear crosspiece. (Abram’s frugal, Yankee blood became evident when he pointed out that by using slightly wider stock than necessary for this part, the waste piece makes the perfect matched curve needed for the rear seat slat.) After band sawing, sand the edges smooth and be sure to set the waste piece aside for later use.
the Conver-Table comes partially assembled for shipping. Price includes shipping.
I’m glad you found them comfortable. It’s funny because I’ve seen them around for such a long time & never sat in one. When I finally did, I understood why they are so popular. Costco had the 3 piece set available online. I just checked right now & unfortunately it’s out of stock. It’s $140 off too. Only $399 for Adirondack 2 chairs and the table. It was item number 100381923. Summer is really kicking off early because all these outdoor products are selling fast. I’ll monitor Costco to see if they come back in store or online
The high price is because of the high-quality materials used in the construction of these chairs. It will give you years of comfort without any complaints. Each one of these chairs is incredibly stable when you sit on them. They are also very expensive because of how they are usually built regarding their material, sturdiness, and durability.
