I’m in the Bay Area, CA. I saw these at several of the Costco’s near me. It seems like some Costco’s don’t get certain products. I’ve seen other posts about products that I’ve NEVER seen at my Costco. It can be such a bummer sometimes. Please let me know if you do end up finding them. Good Luck

However, your waste hauler may accept it, if they offer bulk-waste pick-up or drop-off, as the large items they collect will be handled on a more individual basis.

We just bought another pair, so we'd have a total of four. The first pair has held up so well over the past five years that it's almost impossible to tell which chairs are the new ones and which are the old ones, when sitting side-by-side. This is by far the most durable outdoor furniture I have ever owned. While I do like the chair, I think it is somewhat misleading to market it as a folding Adirondack chair when you have to disassemble it in order to fold it. Even after reading the reviews on these chairs I was surprised when I got them. That is not a good thing! But I waited until the end of the summer to give my review, so I could use them for a while. I wish I would have gotten something else. Here is why:
Where did you find the spray paint? I found almost the exact same can you used but it doesn’t list plastic as one of the surfaces.

There is considerable demand for Adirondack chairs because Adirondack is well-known chair manufacturers. You can not really doubt the quality of the material used in making these exclusive chairs.
I should mention that a few people have reported that the chalky residue didn’t go away after they painted their chairs –– no good. Honestly, I can’t say why some work and some don’t — it may be the material made to make the chair??? My best advice is to try this with one chair and see how it turns out before proceeding with the rest so you don’t waste your time and money.
To understand why these materials are so expensive, you need to know how their design features work. For example, wood Adirondacks are often carved and stained to create coats of rich color. Compared to the natural wood materials that may look much older over the years and will require periodic refinishing or replacement.
