Some owners have left outside in the winter, uncovered, without any damage to the finish. We suggest you bring them inside or pick up a chair cover to be safe.

I just recently went this week & they were out of stock again. You may need to call each Costco to see when they will be getting shipments in. Unfortunately they don’t sell them on Costco.com right now

Many popular, plastic outdoor furniture pieces are made from recycled high-density polyethylene (HDPE/RIC #2). Though recycled HDPE may not be represented by a number, you might be able to tell a piece of outdoor furniture is made with recycled HDPE by the way it looks: It often has a vague wood-grain texture, but is shinier than untreated wood. Many current styles of Adirondack chairs are made with recycled HDPE.
But, I found that Gorilla Glue, as posted above, invariably has worked when Crazy Glue did not. Faster, less messy and less work than Epoxy.

Love your idea and the color! Went out and bought the exact same color (satin lagoon). I scrubbed my 2 chairs with a brush and used the hose to rinse and let them dry for hours before painting. Ran out of paint before finishing my second chair. Had to wait about 2-3 weeks to finish a little bit of touch up on 1st chair (due to back problems). I waited at least 3 weeks before even thinking about sitting on it. I also kept it in the garage for several days to dry right after spraying it (so it wouldn’t get rained on). I used an old towel to dry off the raindrops and noticed blue paint! Now I’m afraid to let anyone sit on it. I didn’t use primer. Any suggestions?
Much nicer, right? But it was like putting lipstick on a pig. Paint made them look pretty, but they were still wobbly and rickety. I think we got our money’s worth out of those crappy old Adirondack chairs and now its time for something a bit sturdier and better.
As he reclined in his new Adirondack chair, ice cold lemonade in hand, a huge smile spread across my hubby’s face as he said, “my vision quest has come to an end” (did I mention he’s a tad bit dramatic?).
Hi Sandy. I didn’t use primer either but didn’t have this issue so I’m not really sure. I have found that a nice thick coat is better than light coats in this case cause it makes a really hard laquer like finish. Sorry you are having trouble. Wish I was close so I could come take a look!
If your hauler doesn’t accept the plastic furniture you’re hoping to get rid of, and the furniture isn’t broken, you have a few options to keep it out of the landfill:
Love it! I’d Natucket with you in your yard anytime. How much do you want for the creepy gnome?

Hey Becky, Did you clean the chairs really well before applying? This hasn’t happened to me, but I’m sorry you are having trouble. It may very much depend on how old the plastic is and if it is able to absorb the paint. Also did you happen to use a primer?
