Notice our ugly carpeted porch in this picture? A future project is to replace the deck and add a railing in. But that’s for another day.
Attach the legs with the carriage bolts, heads to the outside. When tightening the nuts, prevent the head from turning by first seating the bolt head with a hammer blow, engaging the square corners underneath the head in the wood.

We picked up two at the EP Costco on Tuesday and are now looking for two more. Spoke with Michelle at SLP and she said they are in order but they don’t know when they will come in. St. Cloud had 10 available in the system so she had them hold two for us and we are grieving up there for them.
That’s a good question Brandi. I’m not sure there is a weight capacity on the box. I tried looking. I will say this….the width of the chair is wide, so if you tend to have a wider bottom, this should still be comfortable to sit in. The only issue with that is it sits low to the ground. If someone is a heavier person, they may have difficulty getting in and out of the chair because it is so low. They really are comfortable though! I hope that helps
Next the two front legs are attached using three, 1⁄4” by 2″-long carriage bolts. Clamp the legs in position before drilling. The correct position is 113⁄4” from the bottom of the leg to the bottom of the front crosspiece.
Inexpensive: For less than $50, you can find a hemlock or pine Adirondack chair. They may be finished or unfinished, but chairs at this price will require regular maintenance.
