I would imagine your garage is too humid. Spray paint takes longer to fully cure if it’s humid.

In addition to the power tools listed above, you will need to gather these to build Adirondack chairs. This list is per Adirondack chair, so if you plan to make multiple chairs make sure to multiply your screws, bolts, and wood by the amount of Adirondack chairs you intend to build. Our plan is to build 4 chairs so we multiplied each by 4.
Cypress: This popular wood has a beautiful grain and natural oils that protect it from bug infestations, warping, and rotting. A white acrylic stain is often used on cypress Adirondack chairs.
All screw holes should be pre-drilled for a couple reasons; to prevent splitting by drilling a pilot hole and to countersink sufficiently to accept a wood plug later. The plug not only helps the appearance of the chair, but will also add to the chair’s durability. We used a bit that drilled the hole and counterbored for the plug in the same operation.
The first Adirondack chair was made of timber for use at a mountain lodge, so it was legitimate to lean toward a wooden chair similarly. A significant preferred position is the selection of hues accessible for these wooden furniture pieces, and you can paint or brighten them to suit your longing.

I’m in the Bay Area, CA. I saw these at several of the Costco’s near me. It seems like some Costco’s don’t get certain products. I’ve seen other posts about products that I’ve NEVER seen at my Costco. It can be such a bummer sometimes. Please let me know if you do end up finding them. Good Luck
What about using a clear coat afterwards? Maybe if you do that the color won’t wipe off. What do you think Corey?
