To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness. Top reviews Most recent Top reviews We've had a pair of these for five years, sitting out in the elements year-round with no protection whatsoever (though to be fair, this is Southern California elements, so it's mostly heat and sun, with occasional rain — no snow or ice). We just bought another pair, so we'd have a total of four. The first pair has held up so well over the past five years that it's almost impossible to tell which chairs are the new ones and which are the old ones, when sitting side-by-side. This is by far the most durable outdoor furniture I have ever owned. While I do like the chair, I think it is somewhat misleading to market it as a folding Adirondack chair when you have to disassemble it in order to fold it. Disappointed☹️ I ordered the Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange & Red Adirondack folding chairs. Blue & Green do Not match the same Arms as the others! No Front Overhang! When you get up they are Flush with the Front Legs! Not like this Picture!!! 1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed 😔 By dennis m craig on July 15, 2018 Disappointed☹️ I ordered the Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange & Red Adirondack folding chairs. Blue & Green do Not match the same Arms as the others! No Front Overhang! When you get up they are Flush with the Front Legs! Not like this Picture!!! Even after reading the reviews on these chairs I was surprised when I got them. That is not a good thing! But I waited until the end of the summer to give my review, so I could use them for a while. I wish I would have gotten something else. Here is why: .
The Trex line of chairs are great, they are just like our top choice the Polywood chairs! However, the color palette is staid, and you are paying a bit of a premium for the Trex brand name. They have the same 20-year warranty that Polywood does.

Essentially, this chair is built from the ground up so the first pieces required are the two side members that slope back from the front, vertical legs. Use the pattern to trace their shape on the stock, then cut them out using the band saw. Abram suggested we nail the two sides together at the ends in the waste material and stack cut them both to save some time. Then we drum-sanded the sawn edges to smooth the surface.

The hardware necessary to assemble the Adirondack chair is usually fairly minimal, and is often included in Adirondack chair kits. The purchaser of the kit will need to invest in some tools if he or she does not already have the necessary equipment; a screwdriver or drill will most certainly be necessary to drive in screws, while other tools such as a hammer, saw, file, Allen wrench, and wood glue may or may not be necessary to complete construction of Adirondack chair kits. Some kits may require the purchaser to paint the finished product, or stain it, to protect it from moisture from rain or other weather. Is Amazon actually giving you the best price? But, I found that Gorilla Glue, as posted above, invariably has worked when Crazy Glue did not. Faster, less messy and less work than Epoxy.
Gorilla Glue doesn't work. We have about 10 of these chairs with tables at our Lake house and they all eventually split, crack, etc. I tried every thing including Gorilla, Crazy, and any other glue, duct tape, etc. I now put a towel over chair to cover cracked part and "Forget about it". My husband saw the chairs for $12. at a local hardware store up at the lake house so when the towels wear out we will just spring for the new chair. Good luck and let me know if you have had any success with your repair efforts,

Adirondack chairs were first invented in 1903 by Thomas Lee. The first Adirondack chair was made of wood but with time a lot of changes have been made to these chairs. Wood has now been replaced by lighter and easy maintenance plastic and resin. The resin is produced by plants (called natural resin) or industrially produced (synthetic resin) and is popularly being used as an alternative to wood furniture all over the world.
