We bought two of these yesterday in Las Vegas. We felt the same way having never sat in one, and were floored by the comfort. You mentioned they sell the side table and footstool online, but I’ve not been able to find either. Do you have any tips where to find them? Particularly the table. Great review!

3.0 out of 5 stars Some screws stripped / possible color fading I love this chair. It was easy to assemble and it's super comfortable. But when I ordered mine I paid $147.00 and then i went back to get the other three we need and they went up to $229.00. That's an $82.00 difference. That's crazy. What happened?!
Now install the back slats. To get the right look, proper spacing of the slats is important. Start with the center slat, placing it dead center in the back. I used four screws for each back slat, inserting one in the bottom, then made sure the top was positioned properly, then I secured it with three more. Be careful drilling the screw holes and countersink for the upper crosspiece as these must be done on an angle, drilling straight into the crosspiece, but at an angle to the back slat.
Update: we decided to order 3 more of these chairs for $229.00 amd we sat in it and now the plastic is hot or something and its bowing down amd the material feels really soft and flimsy. I will definitely be contacting the company or the seller for a partial refund. These are not worth $229.00 dont waste your hard earned money. 1.0 out of 5 stars 5/24/2020 update: cheap. Here are other brands/types at Costco.com for a bit less, but none are blue. (Costco has a different white chair in the stores now, for only $129.99 per chair. Made by "Leisure Line") Thank you for this. I ordered the polywood set that comes with the table. I guess it costs more than the white one in store but reviews are great and there’s also a 20 year warranty. Fingers crossed! Thank you for this. I ordered the polywood set that comes with the table. Once your template is placed on the wood grab your jigsaw. I use the cordless Porter Cable jigsaw until the battery died 😛
Being in the Beach area of Toronto, Bear Chairs are not uncommon on front porches. Maybe it’s just me, but I find that certain areas of the city dictate landscaping and curb acceptability. What goes as acceptable in one area, may not be perceived as in good taste in another. So although “Bear Chairs” on porches in the Beach are the norm, I haven’t seen many in Leaside, North Toronto, or the West End. In our area, these chairs are quite common on verandas and porches.
