Where did you find the spray paint? I found almost the exact same can you used but it doesn’t list plastic as one of the surfaces.
I've also gone through a lot of these.....haven't found the solution myself other than to head to Home Depot to replace. They are very comfortable and durable, but don't last forever. .

Love your Polywood set – looks like you will be enjoying lots of margaritas in your backyard this summer. I think the gnome needs a refill. XO
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness. Top reviews Most recent Top reviews We've had a pair of these for five years, sitting out in the elements year-round with no protection whatsoever (though to be fair, this is Southern California elements, so it's mostly heat and sun, with occasional rain — no snow or ice). We just bought another pair, so we'd have a total of four. The first pair has held up so well over the past five years that it's almost impossible to tell which chairs are the new ones and which are the old ones, when sitting side-by-side. This is by far the most durable outdoor furniture I have ever owned. While I do like the chair, I think it is somewhat misleading to market it as a folding Adirondack chair when you have to disassemble it in order to fold it. Disappointed☹️ I ordered the Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange & Red Adirondack folding chairs. Blue & Green do Not match the same Arms as the others! No Front Overhang! When you get up they are Flush with the Front Legs! Not like this Picture!!! 1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed 😔 By dennis m craig on July 15, 2018 Disappointed☹️ I ordered the Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange & Red Adirondack folding chairs. Even after reading the reviews on these chairs I was surprised when I got them. That is not a good thing! But I waited until the end of the summer to give my review, so I could use them for a while. I wish I would have gotten something else. Here is why:

The cost of Adirondack chair kits will vary according to the type of kit, the size of the chair, and the materials used to construct the chair. Wood is the most common material used for chair construction, though composite materials are available as well to make the chair lower maintenance. Plastic chairs are also available, and these are usually lightweight and more resistant to weather damage. Higher-end wood can be used for chair construction; and these chairs will be visually appealing but much more expensive. Before calling your hauler to check on the bulk-waste option, try to find out which type of plastic your patio furniture is so you can confirm with them whether or not they accept that type of plastic in their bulk collection.
Start the assembly by gluing and screwing the lower rear crosspiece to the chair sides. For lasting results, use a marine grade or waterproof glue, and stainless steel screws.
They are offered in only two color options, which is a bit of a downer, but given the price, is reasonable.

Hi Sandy. I didn’t use primer either but didn’t have this issue so I’m not really sure. I have found that a nice thick coat is better than light coats in this case cause it makes a really hard laquer like finish. Sorry you are having trouble. Wish I was close so I could come take a look!
