I purchased a shed from Mitch more than 14 years ago which was perfect at the time but over the years, I have accumulated so many tools and so much equipment that I needed another one. He and his partners showed up on time and quickly put together exactly what was promised per the design. Over the next few days, they returned to paint the shed to match the first one and all was done with care and quality. I am very pleased and give them a great review. Paul S 2 years ago .

I had to add to the list one of my favorite shed plans, both in design and size. This 10×14 garden storage shed brings on the table double doors to the front wall, a side door and a side window. The roof has a gable shape. You can use this for garden tools or even as a small hobby workshop. I have full plans with complete cut & shopping lists on my blog. MORE >>
Wood sheds are the most common custom-built type. They come in nearly endless styles and variations and can be clad on the exterior with any siding to make them more weather-resistant. They can have concrete or wooden floors and any roofing material. Wooden sheds can be higher in maintenance if you use wooden flooring and siding because they need to be protected from the elements and painted or stained regularly. The average cost of a custom-built wooden shed is around $6,000.

Once you’ve determined all the specifications necessary for your 10×20 shed to meet its intended use, you will need to think about how to get it constructed on your property. If you have construction experience or enjoy working with your hands, you may consider building your shed yourself. It is possible to download shed drawings and diagrams from the internet to use as a template and buy all necessary supplies at your local building supply store.

Use 4×4 lumber for the skids. It would be a great idea to use pressure treated lumber. Fit the skids under the floor frame and use rafter ties and 1 1/2″ structural screws to lock them into place (2 ties for each skid).
